At the age of 3, Soraya began her love of dance. With ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance training over
her years as a student of dance, she has had the opportunity to choreograph dance routines for dance
teams and private clients. Having heard about the energizing and emotional benefits of belly dance she
began studying Egyptian-American style belly dance and continues to be a faithful student taking weekly
classes and intensive seminars with top Belly Dance Professionals both Locally and Internationally
renowned. Soraya has been under the mentorship of the amazing Dance Master, Jihan Jamal since
2004. She has also had the pleasure of taking intensive dance workshops with Jihan Jamal (FL), Jasmin
Jahal (IL), Samay (FL), Nathalie (FL) and "Belly Dance Superstars": Ansuya (FL), Jillina (CA), Sonia (CA)
& Bozenka (FL).
In 2006, her dedication to this art form and her interest in technology inspired her to launch this
informational belly dance website in an effort to support the education and performance aspects of all
forms of belly dance. Soraya has found great peace and challenge with belly dance and never misses
an opportunity to grow as a dancer and to learn from the Professional dancers who are her inspiration.

| Soraya's life is full of little ones, family and furry friends, in her spare time, she instructs (and subs) adult beginner level belly dance and children's bellydance themed creative movement classes in NE Dade County & Broward County. Interested in children's bellydance classes? In our class, your child will be introduced to important exercises to improve flexibility and strength as well as techniques that will improve her balance and poise all while learning the upbeat musical rhythms of Middle Eastern music.
